Boxing and MMA Apparel Buyer's Guide for Gyms, Fight Teams and Brands

Boxing and MMA apparel for gyms, fight teams and brands means fight shorts and trunks, rash guards, spats, tees and hoodies. Specify the fabric, waistband, leg split, print method and size range up front. Nyxlete makes apparel only. We do not make gloves, headguards or any protective gear. Orders start at 50 units per style.

What Does Nyxlete Make for Combat Sports?

The range is clothing: fight shorts, boxing trunks, rash guards, spats, tees and hoodies, for gyms, fighters and combat-sports brands. It is apparel only. We do not manufacture gloves, headguards, shin guards, pads or other protective equipment. If you are building a complete brand, source protective items separately and keep your colours and artwork consistent so the whole line looks unified. A typical gym order combines shorts, rash guards and a walkout or gym hoodie, all carrying the same logo system.

Which Fabric Suits Fight Shorts and Rash Guards?

Fight shorts are commonly made from satin or from lightweight polyester performance fabric. Satin gives a smooth, traditional boxing look; performance fabric is lighter and often chosen for training. MMA shorts may use tougher stretch panels with a shorter inseam. Rash guards and spats are usually polyester-spandex, which stretches with the body and stays close to the body. Tell us the discipline, boxing, Muay Thai, MMA or grappling, and the sample is built around it. Our fabric guide explains how fibre and weight change handfeel and durability.

How Are Waistbands and Side Splits Built?

Fight shorts need a waistband that holds without digging in. A wide elastic waistband is common on boxing trunks, with a drawcord on training pairs. The leg opening needs room for kicks and for stepping and squatting, so many shorts are made with a side split or a gusseted leg. Ask how the split is finished: a reinforced end stops the seam from tearing when the garment is pulled hard. Specify inseam length by discipline, because a boxing trunk sits longer than an MMA short. Review the sample by moving through a kick and a deep squat, not only by standing in it.

Why Use Sublimation for All-Over Graphics?

Sublimation is the standard way to put full-coverage artwork on fight wear. The dye goes into polyester fibres, so the design does not sit on top of the fabric, will not crack when the garment stretches and adds no stiffness. It allows gradients, patterns, fighter names and sponsor logos across the whole garment. It works only on polyester, so a cotton hoodie will use embroidery or screen print instead. Our post on sublimation printing covers the details. Names and logos can also be embroidered or screen printed when you want a raised or simple finish.

What Makes Fight Apparel Durable?

Combat sports are hard on clothes: repeated washing, sweat, grappling friction and stress on seams. Durability comes from fabric weight, stitch type and reinforcement. Ask about the seam construction at the crotch, the split ends and the waistband join, and look at how printing and stitching sit after a wash. Request a sample and wash it as your gym would, then check seams, colour and print. A rash guard that fades or a short that frays after a few washes reflects badly on your gym or brand, and that is easier to catch on one sample than across a full bulk run.

How Should You Size for Fighters?

Fighters vary widely in build, and weight classes mean waist and thigh measurements differ more than in a typical team. Give waist and thigh measurements alongside size labels and check the leg opening on the sample. Our range goes from youth through adult, which helps gyms with junior classes. Plan the size split from your member list and add a small margin. If you need a method for collecting measurements without a fitting day, read how to size a team order remotely.

Common Questions

Do you make boxing gloves, headguards or protective gear?

No. Nyxlete makes boxing and MMA apparel only: fight shorts, trunks, rash guards, spats, tees and hoodies. Gloves, headguards and other protective equipment are not part of our range.

Can fight shorts have an all-over printed design?

Yes. Sublimation prints into polyester fabric and gives full-coverage graphics without adding stiffness. Embroidery and screen print are also available for logos and names.

What is the minimum order for a gym or fight team?

The minimum is 50 units per style. Gyms and fight teams often combine shorts, rash guards and hoodies with matching artwork, so plan the total quantity per style before requesting a quote.

How should I size fight shorts?

Fighters vary widely in build, so give waist and thigh measurements as well as a size label, and check leg-split movement on the sample. Our range runs from youth through adult.

Send your logo, colours and a rough size split, and we will tell you what else we need.
